grateful

it's been 2 days to my new job. there quite a few things that i need to know and be familiarise with. i was nervous on my first day. i didnt know what to expect. but my P, VP and HOD were very nice and supportive. so were the rest of the staffs.

i wasn't alone though. thankfully hajira was around to guide me. she was very patient with my repeated questions and blunder. haha. i would say my nerve got the better of me. anyway my gratitude to hajira for everything she's done.

i hope i will enjoy every moment of this job and hopefully maintain or better the high standard set by hajira.

finally i've manage to get a job. i will be starting work on the 26th. i can't wait to start work. i'm eagerly awaiting the challenges that lies ahead. whatever it might be, i will take the challenge with a positive attitude. hopefuly everything will go smoothly although i'm expecting a few hiccups along the way. whatever it is, i will enjoy and relish every moment of the job that i will be persuing.

korban cum b'day

last thursday i was over at my auntie house for hari raya haji. i arrived there to fetch my uncle and cuz before heading to muhammadiyah for korban. after the korban, i went back to my uncle house for lunch. chicken bryiani was the menu for the day. it was fun having my relatives around and spending time together.

after lunch, we began preparing for syehnaz b'day party. we got the kids to blow up balloons and do the decoration as well. as for the b'day girl, we had shasha doing the make up for her. syehnaz was all shy when we teased her on how beautiful she was. we got the kids gathered around her and sang her a birthday song.

overall it was an enjoyable day. had fun with my cuz and it is always great to see the kids enjoying themselves. Click for pics of the gathering.

my exam results are out. and alhamdullilah i cleared all my subjects. so now i'm offically graduate from tp with a diploma. but now the problem is i need a job. been looking for one since last week but to no avail. hopefully this week will bring some good news for me. anyone knows of any vacancies? inform me ok.

and spent some time with my naughty litle nephew last week. he is smart and very mischievious. but he is a joy to be with. so when will u be coming to my house?

azim sept 11

last tuesday i was over at ana house. she called me and bro to her house as she had planned a surprise b'day part for her hubby. it was a last minute kind of thing. so me and bro brought food and rushed down to her place. all of htem look hungry waiting for the food.

so we proceed to have dinner and later on we sang a birthday song for azim. neelu and her mummy had spent the morning baking the cake for azim. so azim was touched by the ana and neelu effort. we then cut the cake and gave azim his present.

it was fun to have such gathering. hope to have more of that soon. so my house will be next ok?

bangkok trip

i had a trip to bangkok right after my exams. BIL was having an IT exhibition in bangkok and asked if i want to come along to help him out. so i agreed as it would also be a short getaway for me after my stressful examinations.

so headed over to bangkok for the 2 day conference. we stayed over at Grand Westin Sukhomvit. the hotel was fantastic and the thai people gave us such good hospitality. the conference wasnt bad. BIL had a good response on his software which is a good thing. he had worked hard on the software. hopefully all goes well for him.

after the conference, did a bit of walkaround and shopping as well. overall, i had fun. definitely love to go to bangkok again. maybe this time round, i'll go with my cuz or my frens.

hey baby!

well, haven't been blogging lately. just couldnt find time to blog or should i say i'm hit by the lazy bug. anyway will try to update on the recent events that's been happening.

there's been several addition to the family. firstly, my cousin wife gave birth to their fourth child. it was a baby boy. he is so cute. so now my cousin have 3 boys and a girl.

there's a new addition in my life.

the special one

its been exactly 17 years today. on 13 july 1990, dad left all of us, leaving mum to raise the three of us. life was never the same since dad was gone. it was a joyful 7 years i had with him. i was never neglected and always constantly loved by him.

he was such a caring and loving man. he's a man of little words. it's amazing that after being away for so long, people are still talking about how good he is.

i really missed you dad and i hope you are watching me from there. love you always dad. and may allah always blessed you coz you are truly a great man.

had a great weekend last week. went over to sis house in JB. and also ana was supposed to give all of us a treat. so we headed to kenny roger's at Jusco tebrau City. had a great time there. the best thing was that although ana was treating us, it was her hubby who paid the bill. anyway, thanks ana for treating us. by the way who's next? i was glad to be a part of the final match at kallang. it was an emotional feeling to see the stadium go down. hopefully the new stadium is able to live up to the same atmosphere that i had experienced for the past 14 years.

it's been a while since i blog. a lot of things and transitions had been going on in my life. i just couldn't find time to even squeeze an entry. well, just let me recap some of the things that has been happening.............

my laptop

there's a latest addition to my life. it's not a girl. it's a laptop which i bought about 3 weeks ago at the PC show at suntec. i bought the NEC VERSA L2100. now it's more convenient for me to do my work and stuffs.

no rest

it's been a tough week. finished my term test today. all should go well i hope. anyway, gona have 2 weeks of holidays. but still need to go back to school to finish up loads of assignments. i hope i will be able to finish it on time.

anyway going to enjoy the little bit of time i'm having now. and plz undo the torture on her so i can always see her smiling face. miz u badly though. haiz

great time together

yesterday was a great day. school wasn't bad. after that headed home and later went out to eat with family and cuz at Al-Azhar.

it was fun. everyone was there. after that we headed off to changi beach. spent a couple of hours there. by the time i reached home it was 2.30a.m. was so tired and sleepy.

as for today, there's no plan yet. hopefully got some plans or if not it will be a stay home day. so my cuzzies, please plan something so that we can go somewhere.

Cerita Hantu

had a great time last night. went to the movies with yan and gang. we watched "jangan pandang belakang". it was full-house. the movie was good. lots of suspense. it was well directed and some of the scence gave me chills at times. there were constant screaming from the ladies in the theatre, everytime a suspense occurs.

anyway, you should all go and catch the movie. it's worth the movie. and remember, whatever happen, "jangan pandan belakang". coz you never know what you might end up seeing.

badly missed

last month, i was brought back to the very same place that i used to frequent when i was about 6-7 yrs old. 17 yrs has past and the place still looks the same. the same building. the same slope that i used to walk with my mom. the memories were still fresh in my mind till now.

back then, there was dad lying in the hospital bed fighting for his life. despite being diagnosed with a fatal illness, he never failed to put on a smile. a man of little words, he never failed to pray, even if he had to lie on his bed. such was his character, that he was sorely missed by all when he left.

i wished he was still around, to see how much i've grown. growing up, i've always wanted to be like him. tall, little words, good-looking, kind,generous and the list goes on. i can never find anything bad to relate to my dad. he was so good, that at times i feel disappointed with myself for not being able to be like him.

anyway dad, i know that you are watching me from there. and i badly missed you. i love you dad and i hope that one day i'll be a great dad just like you. HAPPY 58th BIRTHDAY dad.

perservere

exactly 4 weeks and counting.............nevertheless my week has been good except for some running nose and cough. well getting better now i guess. been busy as usual with my FYP..........there are some hiccups along the way but i think we'll just pull through and complete it.

and what does it feel like to be made to wait and not knowing the outcome? anger,frustration, annoyed or ****........i'll take it as being patience on my part. as those who are patience will perservere and be rewarded.

Long Weekend

i'm back.........but a bit sick lah. been having late nights recently as a result of watching champions league. and also FYP coming to and end. but still have to come back during the hols to finish up the project and the report. haiz......i really need a break. never work this hard before. so what should i begin with? hmmm.........

let's start with monday and tuesday. i went to aloha changi. it was neelufer zahra 2nd b'day party. we were having loads of fun and games. pictionary and water balloons were part of the adults itenary for games. more stories and pix can be read at ana blog.

as for wednesday,nothing much was done. met up with zan. talk crap as usual and left for home after that.

yesterday was tiring as well. had to go for tuition aft school. met zan again for a while and then head home. my aunt happened to be at my place. so waited for her to finish her dinner and then dropped her home. so reached home at around 11.45p.m. i felt sleepy as i was driving back home. almost went to sleep a few times as i was driving home.

today. what shall i do? should i meet zan or go home and sleep. i also don't know lah. see how lah later. anyways will be going for prayers soon............

and to all my cuz.................any plans for the weekend. how about we go 'ceng' house at CCK and play water balloons? gd idea rite.........

It's Macha B'day

I've been wanting to blog about this but i've been kept busy by my project. It's lunch time now and i'm not that busy.........at least for now. Well yesterday was out with my family for dinner. Big bro couldn't make it as he's busy with work. So went to suntec to fetch my sis and headed straight to Esplanade. My 'macha' wanted to give us a treat. So met up with him at 2Hot Cafe @ Colours By The Bay.

The food there wasn't bad. The price was quite reasonable as well. And as usual, my mum will make noise with me. She said, " Membazir je. Lagipun bukan sedap sangat. Lebih baik aku masak kat rumah. Lagi sedap". Haiz............orang dah belanja pun masuh nak cerewet. She's like that.

Anyway today someones b'day. guess who lah. any guesses?..............cant think of any rite. hahaha. well it's my 'macha' b'day. he's 34 now. well he's been a great addition to my family for the past 7 yrs. and i hope he will continue to do so..............and for those who know him..go and wish him lah..........or come my house and surprise him ke...............and i guess by the time you wanna come to surprise him..........he will have already read the entry........and it won't be a surprise anymore. anyway it's the thought that counts.

Repercussion

What goes around, comes around. I refused to believe that saying till i experienced it myself not long ago. I guess that's the repercussion for doing bad to others. Well i definitely learnt from the experience and have moved on with life. But there's still people out there who still refused to learn and repent. And only when they had to face the mishap, will they tend to regret. Anyway doesn't really matter to me. Just a little upset. That's all.

I don't really know what to do later. Thought of watching salaam-e-ishq. Should be a good movie i hope. Maybe some other day lah. Hope could meet up with my cuz later to watch soccer. Maybe go lepak Ana house and watch soccer at night. But so far there haven't been any plans yet.

And i'm sooooo confident that we gonna beat Thailand tonight...................

We Were Sportingly Good

Haiz.................i'm so sleepy. Had a late night again yesterday. But i (or should i say we) had a great time last night. It was the finals and we were among the 55,000 fans at the kallang stadium. We just had to be there as it was the finals and furthermore it was the last competitive match to be played there. Well the stadium will be demolish and rebuild into a sports hub. Gone the stadium maybe, but the memories that we had since the Malaysia cup will be etched in our memories for life.

As usual, i went to the match with my crazy cuzzies. And there was an additional to our group as well, with the inclusion of naz and hajira. So we got seated and started our crazy antics of shouting and cheering. Not forgetting the kallang wave and the famous bu** shouts. The match when well till the 83rd min, when we were awarded a penalty kick by the referee. The Thais were disgust by the decision. In protest towards the decision, the Thais coach ordered his players to leave the pitch. There were commotions on the sideline as the match officials and the organisers had a long talk with the Thais team. We thought that the referee would disqualified the Thais for their unsporting behaviour. But surprising he allowed them to continue the match after halting the match for more than 20 mins. Shame on you referee. Very indecisive and not firm enough to referee the finals.

So when the match resume, we managed to put away the spot kick and relief the pressure that were mounting on the fans. We bravely hold on for the last few mins to earn a well-deserved victory against the Thais. But the disappointment was clearly on the Thai players and officials behaviour. Com'on..........be a sport Thais. Singapore definitely stand firm on it grounds.

Got My Tickets

Just came back from the stadium. There was a long queue of people buying the tickets for the finals. It was far from what i experienced the last week when i bought the semi-finals tickets. I didn't even have to queue up last week. The response today was overwhelming i must say. I assume that tickets should be sold out by tomorrow or even worse today itself.

Through To The Finals

We are on the papers. Can you believe it? It's the cover page some more. Aisha, Shikin, Rahmah and Salma were featured on the cover page. It was their first time watching soccer at the stadium and they got so much publicity. Lucky them. They must still be savouring those moments i guess. Wonder why i wasn't on the cover considering the fact that i've been to the stadium for over 13 yrs. Haiz.........but i'm happy for them anyway.

Last night, I went to the stadium. Met up with the rest of my cuz, aunty and uncle. There were 21 of us. So we parked our vehicles at Kallang KFC to avoid the jam on the way back. It began to drizzle as we began our walk to the stadium. But we were not bothered by the weather as we were all enthusiastic about the match. As we reached the stadium steps, we were surrounded by swamp of fans in red. I can feel the goosebumps as we queued to enter the stadium. The crowd, the shouting and singing fans. It's a feeling hard to describe. You have to experience it yourself.
We managed to get front seats at the back of the goal post as the other part of the stadium was packed.

And the singing and chanting began. Not forgetting the continuous kallang wave we performed. The game went well. We could have won it in 90 mins but we wasted lots of chances. So the game had to be decided on penalties. It was a nervous shoot-out but we deservedly earn a place in the finals. Well done Singapore.

I'll definitely be there for the finals. Just hope that all my cuz will there as well. I should be uploading a video in a few days. In the meantime, enjoy some of this pics first ok. Pixx

Singapura Boleh!

I just got back from the stadium. Went there to purchase tickets for this Saturday clash against Malaysia. I got a total of 10 adults and 7 child's tickets. Will be going there with my crazy cuzzies. Should be loads of fun as the last time we all went there together was during the Malaysia Cup which was about 13 yrs ago.

Definitely looking forward to this Saturday. So all my cuuzies, jangan lambat ok. Nanti tak dapat duduk tempat yang gerek ok. Maybe lepas game kita lepak rumah Ana and main pictionary. Jangan tak jadi lah.

The Kallang Roar

Hey...........I was supposed to blog this on Wednesday. But i was kept busy by my FYP. Well now i'm into my 1st week of SIP. Which means, six more weeks to go before a well deserve holiday for me.

On Wednesday, I went to the National Stadium. It's been a long time since i've been there. And furthermore it was quite an important match as it will decide Singapore's fate.So I drove up to Yan's place at Simei to meet him at about 7p.m. His sis also went along with us. We reached the stadium at about 7.40. As we were walking towards the stadium entrance, we were stopped by a reporter. We were reluctant to be interviewed at first, but why not since we will be on tv. So he asked our thoughts on the match and also if Singapore will be able to defend their crown. Yan's confidently replied that we were gonna be able to defend our crown. I was a bit pessimistic on our chances. But as long we were to avoid playing against Thailand, then there's a strong chance of us to win the championship.

After the short interview, we went to buy the tickets. Nur and myself paid $2 for our tickets as were still students, while Yan was frustrated as he had to pay $6 for his tickets. We then walked into the stadium. The feeling was great. It reminds me of the Malaysia Cup days, when we often frequent the matches. So we managed to get ourselves the front seats. The match kicked-off at 8p.m. It was a fiesty match overall. I've to admit that we were lucky to get a draw as Indonesia was definitely the better side.

But nevertheless, we are through to the semis now. So bring it on Malaysia. Hopefully we can do well and go on to the finals.

Bowling Mad Jack

Gosh..........i'm so tired. Just got back from tuition and finally i'm able to blog about yesterday's outing.

So where do i start. Hmmm....yeah. We were supposed to go laser quest yesterday but had to change plan as the place was fully booked. So we headed off to Victor's Superbowl at Marina South. Reached there at about 1815hrs. We had to book 2 lanes as there's about 12 of us playing. It was girls vs guys competition. Participants were: Ais, Azim, Un, Iwan, Odin, Fafad, Aisah, Rahmah, Salma, Lin, Ana, Shikin.


We played 2 games each and as usual the guys were victorious. We had lots of fun and we threw a lot gutter balls. After the game we headed off to Mad Jack at Jalan Kayu. We tried to do reservations but it was fully booked. So we just went there and try our luck. Thankfully there was space for us to dine in. The service there was good and the food was excellent as well. We finished eating at about 2300hrs and we all went our separate ways.

Well that's all for now. Need to get some rest. Got some AFC championship to watch. Till then see you next week cuzzies.

Eventful Night

Last night, my family and i went to Eastpoint for dinner. It was to celebrate my sister's maid 25th birthday. Anyway it was quite some time since we all had dinner together. It was a nice feeling as we were allusually busy with our daily lives.

As we were about to finish our dinner, my brother got a call from my cousin, Akit. He had a punctured tyre and he was stranded at Eng Neo flyover. He was travelling home from Mandai camp when he realised he had a punctured tyre on his bike.

So we quickly left for Eng Neo. Along the way to Eng Neo, there were a lot accidents as it continues to rain heavily. We reached the place about 1/2hr later. There was Akit and his friend left stranded below the flyover. We quickly carried the bike onto the lorry and secured it. Soon Kak Yah and Pakcik Abu came. Kak Yah was so worried and angry at the same time that she kept rambling over the punctured tyre continuously.

After dropping them home, we went back as my sis was waiting for us to cut the cake. So we immediately cut the cake and the maid was so delighted. Anyway it was an eventful night but it was nice though. Click

Coffee With Yan

I had a great time last night. It's been a while since i met my Sophian as both of us are quite busy with our own schedule. So yesterday we made it a point to meet up for coffee. So after my school ended, i met him up at Simei. As usual, he will always made me wait for him. We were supposed to meet at 6.30 but he turned up at 7p.m.

So we went to Ah Mei for coffee. We sat there for sometime and had a good talk. He was supposed to attend a meeting at 8p.m but he cancelled it just to spend more time together. As he had cancelled his appointment, i then suggested going to vivo city. Anyway i've never been there before. So we reached vivo at about 9p.m. and spent about an hour just walking and enjoying the scenery. We played a bit of pool as well.

We left vivo at 10p.m and by the time i reached home it was already 11p.m. I opened the door and there was mum siting on the sofa waiting for me. She gave me the kind of not happy look and then off she went to bed. As usual, she's always worried if i'm not home yet.

But overall it's a time well spent even though it was for a short while.

Hairy Affair

There's been a recent addition in my life. Well, don't get me wrong yet. I'm not referring to any girls or whatsoever. It's about my facial hair. I've been growing it for the past month or so. And i've been getting mixed reactions by my family and friends. Some were saying that i look old or matured with the beard. And some even said that i looked fierce.

My lecturer also got into the act too. She sarcastically said, " Are you so busy with your project that you got no time to shave is it? You look old with that beard. And please shave it as i wanna see your boyish looks."

But i just like the way it is now. Anyway i've never grown them this long. So i want you guys out there to tell me if i should either keep it or shave it? Shout it out on my tag board. Your comments are much appreciated.

Looking Back

Its been five days since the New Year. How time flies. To all my friends and cuzzies, Happy New Year. May all your wishes and dreams come true yeah. Well as for myself, there's been ups and downs in 2006. Here's a list of few things that occurred in 2006.

2006:-
1. Completed my 2nd year in poly.
2. Started and ended an amazing relationship.
3. Lost my close cuz to an accident.(may god bless him)
4. Put on weight.(which is sooo horrible)
5. Played soccer at the cage till the early morning.
6. The beginning of my MP/SIP. (it sucks)

Well there's actually more but it's either i forgotten them or i just can't be bothered to list them down.

As for 2007, there are some things that i want to achieve.

2007:-
1. Graduate from TP.
2. Get admission to NIE( if possible)
3. Be a good son to my mum.
4. Be a better Muslim.
5. To have someone who would appreciate me and not betray me.
6. To spend more time with my family and cuzzins.
7. Have my own car.
8. Have a stable and rewarding career.
9. Lose weight.
10. Appreciate the facts of life.
